Vbscript does not include a variable populated with the current directory in which the script is called.\u00a0 They do however include two other variables that give us the ability to dynamically grab this string:<\/p>\n

Wscript.ScriptFullName = Full Path and Name of script ( ie. c:\\Folder\\SubFolder\\Script.vbs )<\/p>\n

Wscript.ScriptName = Name of Script ( ie. Script.vbs )<\/p>\n

Using the Len built-in function, we can cut the name from the end of the “ScriptFullName\u201d script to acheive our goal:<\/p>\n

scriptPath = Left(WScript.ScriptFullName, Len(WScript.ScriptFullName) – Len(WScript.ScriptName))<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Note: Output includes \u201c\\\u201d\u00a0 after folder name ( ie. c:\\Folder\\SubFolder\\ )<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em>In MDT ( Microsoft Deployment Toolkit ), the ZTIUTility.vbs script includes this functionality.\u00a0 As long as you include this script in your custom .WSF, then you can use the \u201csScriptDir\u201d variable.\u00a0 That is populated via the \u201cFileSystemObject\u201d.<\/p>\n
